New Talks at Our Lady Star of the Sea
Thursday, 19 August 2010
Following the success of the last two series of talks on St Paul and the Catholic Social Teaching, Our Lady Star of the Sea are planning a further series starting this autumn.
Monsignor Aidan Turner said ‘I am delighted that we are able to host a third series. As next year will be the 400th anniversary of the publication of the Bible in English, we are planning a series of talks, in which speakers from different walks of life will discuss WHAT THE BIBLE MEANS TO ME. Our speakers will include people from education, justice, medicine, and the church. Our first speakers will come from the Cenacolo Community in Kendal which supports people suffering from drug abuse.’
The talks will take place on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre, 63, St Albans Rd , St Annes FY8 1XD
(a short distance from the church). The first talk will be on 7th October 2010.
Further information will be available in early September.
